What is cryopen?

CryoPen is used for the effective removal of benign skin lesions whilst protecting the living surrounding tissue. It works by emitting nitrous oxide gas at a constant temperature of -89 degrees Celsius. The extreme cold creates a thermal shock that freezes the fluid inside the targeted cells, turning it into ice crystals. This ruptures the cell membrane and destroys the unwanted for the effected removal.

Choosing CryoPen is the modern, non-invasive alternative to traditional surgical removal methods. Unlike cutting or snipping, which creates an open would and carries a higher risk of infections and scarring, CryoPen uses a high-pressure, pin-point of extreme cold to destroy the blemish at a cellular level. Prior to your specialist carrying out a CryoPen treatment, a full consultation and skin review will take place. Your consultation and CroPen treatment will usually take place at the same time.
